Thoroughly Baseless Delectation.

Sometimes I feel so lucky, so decadent, closed-eyes and savoring every moment. Every bite, every sip, every hug, every debate. That it happens at all is a gift. That it happens often is a blessing. We must remember these times.

Trying to convince lady_in_satin to get her culinary journal together. There needs to be a repository for things like this, to be sure. What was slated as inbody’s birthday dinner quickly became a wonderful present for all of us.

As a child, I always dreamed of being an adult, and liking adult things. How ironically humorous that my enjoyment of these iconic comforts is so puerilely visceral, with us all soaking up everything with childlike curiosity and self-appeasement – at the same time watching for smiles creeping up the faces of the others. It’s not a matter of having good taste, but loving the taste of the things around us. Judging and weighing, sampling and considering. It’s about having choices and abilities. Has there ever not been a wave of optimism when confronted with a brand new box of mixed chocolates? The possibilities seem limitless...
